Molly Betty Barnes
1 June 1931 - 6 September 2020
...and so, Molly left this earth, quietly and peacefully in her sleep. Wherever she is now, no-one knows, but what we do know is that those around her will be endlessly entertained by her sharp wit, wicked sense of humour, that mischievous smile and intriguing stories. Molly's spirit will live on at Molly's Speakeasy in name and in character.
Rest in Peace.
About our menu
Introducing the first edition of the "Enfield Chronicle - The Official Menu of Molly's Speakeasy Village Restaurant"
Why the 'Enfield Chronicle'?
Well, in short, the 101-year old cottage - now home to Molly's Speakeasy - was built in 1918 by the Fidler family and was known as 'The Enfield Cottage'. The Enfield presumably referred to the Lee Enfield rifle, a bolt-action, magazine-fed, repeating rifle that served as the main firearm used by the military forces of the British Empire and Commonwealth during the first half of the 20th century.
Now in it’s fourth revision, we listened to our Guests’ preferences and we’re proud of our new menu and how we’ve responded to your suggestions.
